Default Crazy's Insulation Kit?

Has anybody purchased Crazy C5 Cowboy's insulation kit. I picked up his trunk mirrors and really liked the quality of the work and the customer service. I've seen all the posts on the Frost King debate, but I like the idea of having a product pre-cut and ready to go. All being said can anyone comment on what Crazy's offering?

I've got his kit and love it.

I havent actually had the car back out on the road since I did the install so I cant say much as far as the noise reduction but I'm sure it will help tremendously. Having compared his stuff side-by-side with the Frost King I'm sure his stuff is going to do as good if not better.

As far as the "pre-cut" aspect of it, that is definitely what sold me on it. It was awesome having all of those pieces pre-cut and numbered so that all you have to do it refer to the diagram he provides and just put them in place.

I think I only used about 1 big can of the spray adhesive and it just took a couple of hours to install everything.

I'm surprised that no one else has replied yet but I will definitely vouch for his kit.

Nice product Dan (CrazyC5Cowboy) - (or should we call you CrazyC6Cowboy yet?)

I've installed the kit and am VERY happy with the results. The road noise on the highway at 80 mph is noticeably less than before. The kit installs easily due to the pre-cut pieces.

For anyone wanting to get a better reduction than Frost King (I tried this first and wasn't impressed) and not willing to spend the money for the more expensive stuff (dynamat?) to this is the way to go.

I got his kit, mainly to cut down on the tunnel heat. I figured if it cut the noise that was a bonus! The kit with its precut pieces was great to install, but don't be affraid to use a knife to cut and fit! He gives you something like 15 sq ft of extra material to help fit any voids you come up with. Here are some pics.

For what it is worth I started out trying the Frost King method on the back of the car. It was a pain to try to cut and fit the pieces into the car. If you have the time and patience, it would be less expensive than Dan's kit. But, I finally gave up and e-mailed Dan and ordered his kit.

Dan's customer service is second to none . The kit and the instructions arrived on time to install the following weekend. Pre-cut was simple and easy.

I finally drove the car yesterday.

The Good: It cut down some of the road noise and I am very pleased with the product and the install.

The Bad: Now I can hear the wind noise from my drivers side window. I guess it needs to be adjusted.

I would think it would have an edge over the Frost King. Mainly due to the fact it has a foil layer on both sides... and it's pre-cut

Default Crazy's Kit

Hey, this is a great kit. I know that I could have cut my own, but didn't want to take the time. I actually had great help from my wife who did most (98%) of the kit install while I did the Hurst shifter, CD changer and power antenna install. Directions were easy and the pieces fit. We glued most of the pieces in and foil taped the seams for a more finished look.
