That's exactly what I did - bought a 98 conv with 60k miles on it for $18k. KBB prices don't mean much to me, I wanted a deal. While it is generally true that you should get the newest, lowest milage you can afford, if it's bought to be used and not just sit in the garage, then it's not as important IMHO. After reading this forum for a while, it seems no diffference in problems with high or low milage cars. It's a high tech, somewhat complicated car - things can go wrong. This is my third Vette over the last 10 years and I have never lost money on one when I "upgraded". I really like my C5 but will probably get a C6 five years from now when they are at $20k -
