Default Head Light Problem

My left flip up head light is very close (rubbing) against the hood on the left side. Is this adjustable and how?

If you mean the light cover (same color as the car), yes it is. There are 2 torx screws at the rear and two at the side. Unscrew them and you can realign the cover.

This link describing the Eurolight fit has a few pictures which may help:

oops. Now I did it. The part that was out of alignment was horizontal not vertical. There are 2 sets of trox screws. It was no problem because I was able to find the second set. Problem: One spot where the screws go into broke. It was a plastic tab that came down about an inch and it was due to a poor made part - not over torque.

So at this point I'm a disapointed as to what engineer came up with this idea. Its somewhat fixed now - but needs to be fully fixed. Maybe I can wait until a good non-popup kit becomes available.

Any other ideas - open for suggestions.

I've had my covers off my '98 a few times, and no probs. What tab are you talking about? Can you take a pic?

Drivers side

1st Part
After you take the cover (painted part) off there are 2 torx in back and one on the right front and one on the left front, but all still on top. These control the horizontal placement. I worked on this for a long time with alot of problems, then settled on less than perfect. Is there a trick to getting this aligned?

2nd Part
After you put the cover back on there are 2 torx in back and one on each side in front. These control the vertical alignment. The screw in the front left side screws into a peice of plastic that comes down into what looks like an inch square tab. This tab broke off. The fit is tight and I may not need that alignment peice if the others can control the vertical alignment. After giving this some thought - I don't think this is a big problem.

The real problem I guess is part 1. If I could get this aligned then that would probably satisfy me until improvements are made to the non-pop up conversion kits.

I have a pic but do not know how to attach.
