Wanted to get your opinions on these headlight mods for my C5. I have gotten a lot of positive feedback, but would like to know what fellow C5 owners think. Here is a picture of my ride.
Breathless lights. I'm all for non pop up lights, but I don't like the rectangular lamps, or the holes with the fans. That's why I went with the C5R lights.
Those are decent looking lights but WAYYYYYYYY overpriced. Even C5-R lights are way overpriced. Both kits use cheap parts. The low beam rectangular sealed beam in those BPP kits are the same horrible lights used in 93-97 Camaros. They cost 25 bucks a piece. Those 2 little fans are CPU cooling fans cost a couple bucks at radio shack, and the high beams are nothing more than some inexpensive cat or hella lights. SO basically your paying $1000 for some plastic moulding. REDICULOUS!!!! they arent even HID. lol
Also, the C5R lights use horrible cheap projectors that give output similar to some Civic APC projector headlights. The beam pattern on them is hideous. I heard parts dont line up in these kits and they always have sealing problems.
So this is exactly why I would not waste my money on these kits and decided to make my own custom housings which uses Valeo Audi projectors with Philips D2S HID bulbs and Hella ballasts. ALL OEM HID components.
I know I may have been a bit harsh towards these products but in all honosty, its true. Both kits the BPP and C5R lights are maybe worth a couple hundred at best with the components used. If anyone can argue otherwise I would love to hear what you have to say. Im all ears now.

Since they're Camaro headlights, this this thread should provide an effective lighting upgrade for BPP lights. Not HID in the link, but it can be.

Please, more information on the process to have these manufactured/customized, including all the specs and part numbers.
Also, as another has stated, pictures from other, various, angles would be greatly appreciated.
