What is a good way to treat the weather stripping around doors, roof, and hatch area. I've seen some companies recommend dielectic silicone.
You would think as greasy as dielectic is it would attract a lot of dust and dirt. It has been my belief that weather stripping needs to breath in order to stay pliable.

You can use the dielectric silicone grease and after you put it on and let it sit for a while, go over the weatherstrip with a clean rag to wipe the excess off. I used a product from a local body shop that is a 100% silicone lubricant and it seems to do well.
