The local Vette club that I just joined has a two day display of their cars inside a local mall. I can't imagine leaving my car in between all those non car enthusiasts with strollers, purses, out of control kids, ect. I would lose what little mind I have left.

I think I'll just go and wring my hands a little now, lol.
That's nothing ... just wait for some kid to come by and spill his Slurpee or Ice Cream into your interior or engine compartment.

Yea, and I had to marry into that 0.1% club. My first "DON'T TOUCH THE CAR" scream lead to a rather lengthy 'discussion' that night.

When I have my car at shows or cruise-ins I enjoy letting "select" individuals, usually some 10 year old with his or her parents and camera, sit in my car for a moment to get their picture made. That will definitely make that child's day. I, of course, open and close the door for them. It makes me feel great to share my car with a few others and see the joy that it puts in their lives.

Enjoy the show and the people you meet and don't worry about winning a two dollar trophy to put in your attic with your bowling trophies. Many in my club print "DO Not Judge" on their entry form at car shows so they don't have to deal with trophy disposal. Just my .02
