Default Keyless Entry / Dead Battery

Well my Die Hard finally died in the 98 and now my keyless entry won't work, the doors or the hatch. Now what?

You have to reprogram it through the console computer. It is step by step in the manual, which i dont have in front of me, but maybe someone will if you dont have one yourself.

From the manual:
To match transmitters to your vehicle:
1. Turn the ignition key to ON.
2. Clear any warning messages on the Driver
Information Center (DIC) by pressing the
RESET button.
3. Press the OPTIONS button on the DIC several times
until the blank page is displayed, then press and hold
the RESET button for two seconds.
4. When the message FOB TRAINING is displayed,
push the RESET button once. The message
HOLD LK + UNLK 1ST FOB in the DIC
will be displayed.
5. Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on
the transmitter simultaneously for 15 seconds.
6. When a transmitter is learned (matched), the DIC
will display FOB LEARNED and then prompt you
to learn the next transmitter.
7. Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for each additional transmitter.
8. Remove the key from the ignition.

The programming mode will shut off if:
You donÂ’t program any transmitters for two minutes.
You take the key out of the ignition.
 You have programmed three transmitters.

normally you just have to resingronize them with the car. Mine did this during sortage when the battery went dead. After the new battery is installed just stand by your car and press both the lock and unlock button at the same time for 7 seconds. When your horn honks once you are done. It's in your manual on page and section 2-6. I just went through this. Bought new batterys for my remotes and all. It really is a simple fix.

There are two different processes to activate or "re-activate" the FOBS: re-synching and re-training. When I changed my battery, all I needed to do was the re-synch as outlined above. The longer re-training method is mostly needed when you want to add a new FOB to the car.
