I ordered my VE Extreme Makover for my poor broken down heap hoping to turn it into a show winner about 3 1/2 weeks ago - I can't wait for the big brown truck to show up! Like Tim Allen once said long ago - "I'll get so excited that I'll run out there with my dog. The dog will take the boxes, and I'll be sniffing the UPS man's butt!"

Max M - you've posted that you were dissappointed in VE and that they haven't made good on their promises to you in two separate threads. I still maintain that there is a lot more to this story than the small amount of detail that you've presented. I know that everytime I've called Ken King and spoken to him, he's been willing to bend over backwards to make his customers happy - and he damn sure wouldn't do anything that would hurt is reputation on this Forum. I know he places high value on the relationships he's forged here.

I notice that you are from Sweden - does that have anything to do with the apparent communication problem? (i.e; time zones, language, etc.) I know that VE is a relatively small business that doesn't have banks of operators handling inbound calls and emails. Most of the return communication is handled by Ken himself. I know they're pretty busy, and he doesn't get a lot time to sit out here on the forum all day, so as a result - you won't see many posts from him.

If you want to share the details with me alone - I would be happy to attempt to contact Ken if it would help straighten out this problem. I like Ken and VE. I don't want to see something simple hurt him or his company. Just an offer........

The brake boot that we missed in your first shippment that your getting for free including the core charge was returned to us from the post office. Customs didnt' like the no/charge part of the discription.
It has been resent earlier this week. Post says Sweeden is 10 days away.
Hope this helps.
Ask Red line if they would ship you the boot for free. Boot $55.00, Core $35.00 Shipping to Sweeden $25.00 Total $115.00 or $90.00 minus the shipping since it should have been in the box in the first place. Almost forgot that it was another $25.00 to reship the parts after they came back.

Max: After reading that you sent emails I checked and found them on the hotmail address you and I were using when my internet was down at the shop. My fault, when we got the office at the new building up and running I didn't check the old address so I missed them.
Yes VE's reputation is great when it comes to leather but I still have work to do on my email skills.

Hey there Fella! As a past customer of yours I was just reading this here post and was about to explain to Max how good your interiors are, and that the only thing better than your interiors, is your customer service, and the only thing better than your customer service is talking to you or Sandy on the phone, but then I got to thinking & I knew if I stayed on this Forum long enough, I would hear somebody bitchin about Vette Essentials!!

Way to go Ken! I was certain this whole thing was as Strother Martin so aptly put it in Cool Hand Luke - "What we have here, is a failure to communicate!"

Yep, Ken's stuff is great. I got my seats, shift ****, shift boot, and door pulls. Still waiting for my console cover, steering wheel, brake handle and boot to arrive but Ken has been great to work with. Should have the rest of the stuff in a few days. I'll post pics when I get it all installed.

I'm glad your problem got ironed out to your satisfaction. Ken and Sandy run a first class operation and didn't get their sterling reputation for nothing.
