Is the vert top's storage compartment lid adjustable? I'd like to shift it back at least 1/2 inch or so but not so far that it impacts the trunk lid or prevent the trunk lid from opening.
In my vert, these hoops are going to hit the storage compartment lid. I'm going to try to shim the back sides of them a bit so that they'll tip forward but that might not be enough.
Did any of you that installed these hoops have similar problem and how did you remedy the problem?

I know that Boarddirector is going to be pissed at me for posting about JB welding them, but here goes anyway. I installed the same set in my vert last year using JB weld. First-forget about adjusting the lid. You need to keep it where it is. Second, you probably have to shove the mounting tabs for the hoops under the inside plastic side trim to have them line up with the seats properly. Third, assuming that you also are gluing them in, after they are in place put a pen between the back of the hoops and front of the lid. Push the pens down sideways and firmly. This will give a clearance of about 1/4 inch. If you give this a trial run without glue you'll see that you need that 1/4 inch when the lid is opened or closed. FWIW- my bars are in there forever. They are solid as a rock and I don't care if the guy who owns it after I'm dead doesn't like how I mounted them. You'll gets tons of compliments. One last thing- You can get nice chrome plastic trim rings from most home centers to finish the hoops off. I bought the ones with 1 1/4 inch holes and opened up the holes on a lathe. The trim rings with the larger holes are just too damn big.Keep us posted on your progress, Tom

No need to adjust the cover. What I did when I glued my WCC hoops in was place a towel folded 2 or three times between the lid and the hoops. Worked just great! Hoops look awesome, and plenty of room for clearance when raising/lowering the top.

LOL. Not pissed, just don't understand glueing anything to a car. No need if the hoops are designed correctly and clear the tanks.. Our hoops and installation works/looks awesome. And no glue.
Installed the hoops last night with the epoxy. They are curing now and I have towels between the hoops and the storage compartment lid. Hopefully they cure in the correct position so that they clear the lid!
Now it's time to contemplate trimming the carpet without screwing it up permanently.

And I suppose you'd have me BOLT the hood orniment on to? No holes in my hood pal. Superglue for the winged horse!
There was a previous post that used JB weld to attach some nuts to the area behind the seat and used these to bolt the hoops to the car. Sounds better than JB weld the whole hoop to the car. I like being able to remove items. If it turns out I don't like them in a year or so. Or find something better. My .02
