Their is a new vendor on the sight, that show some new wheel that
he is selling to corvette form members. Sorry that I don't remember the name right off. The other day he showed some three piece rims that
looked alot like HRE but for about 1300 less. If I remember or come across the name I will post it.
I like the ZO7 wheels, but, I have a 99 Pewter coupe with chrome wagon wheels. I've made many many comparisions over the years, and the wagon wheels have more mass, and more therefore more chrome ! And when your are moving down the road, they look the best by far. As far as chrome pitting or flaking. If you buy good wheels and take care of them they should last. However, nothing lasts forever.
I'm trying to compare by using photos, but I only have a photo of a black coupe with C6 wheels. I guess I could spend hours looking through all the photos tha are posted, but if anyone has any black coupes with chrome wheels, please post them if you have the time. Thanks.

Just got the C6 chromies and a new set of Kuhmos on my black coupe today. Haven't had time to take pics yet. I will take some tonight or tomorrow and post. They look great. It's quite a change from the wagons, which I actually liked. This is totally different.

I would think seriously about what size to buy if you are going to the expense of getting a new set of wheels. With the C6 going 18 front and 19 inch rears this should be a serious consideration as better tire availability in those sizes is sure to follow.
And as someone mentioned already the new C6 Z06 rear rims are going wider with new 325 rear Goodyears soon to be in production.
A poplular choice seems to be 18 x 9.5 inch with 265's or 10 inch fronts with 275's. For the back, 19 x 11 with 295/305's or 11.5 inch rears for the new EMT 325's.
Can't wait to see the C6 chrome wheels on your coupe. Let me know when you have some photos!!!
Are all the stock C5 wheels 17" diameter in the front and 18" in the rear (even the Z06 C5's?). Does anyone know if installing 18/19" wheels causes any problems like rubbing during tight turns?

We've got tornados here today (go figure), but if it clears off by the time I get off of work, I'll back her out and take a few pics to post. I'll be interested toknow what everyone thinks. Zuti
Don't let the others freak you out about the chrome. I still have alot of chrome Harley parts that had plated over 30 years ago and they're still show quality. They simply require a coat of was every six months or so. If you do this, they'll never rust or pit. Of course a cheap lousy plating job could peel on you. Just don't buy cheap crap and it won't be an issue It sure beats the hell out of contant polishing!
