Having read many postings about replacing tires I am wondering-
If a person replaces tires with NON run flats then what do they do when they get a flat?
a patch kit and air compressor could help, but what if the tire is non repairable?
does GM sell a mini spare to fit both the front and rear of a vette?
could there be a GM steel rim that fits the vette's bolt pattern?
editted-
I hate cell phones and I no longer have one.
I have AAA but they take forever to show up. Once it took 4 hours- I was lucky it was a nice day to sit by the Charles River in Boston.
Chevy Roadside assistance was much faster the one time I used them.
I guess what I am getting at is if I had a spare tire I could continue my trip since I am usually local. With a cell phone and flat bed I am towed, have to call someone to pick me up, and some towing company or gas station has my car, then I have to get a tire and bring it to the gas station which probably cannot put the tire onto my rim, so I have to either tow it somewhere else or take the rim and tire somewhere else....
It is more comforting for me to keep the car in my possession and get a new tire. To do this I need to have a spare tire.
thanks for your input and keep the replies coming.

I have emergency road service on my insurance, carry a cell phone, and have a plug kit and compressor in the car. I too have heard that the spare from an '04-05 GTO will work.
