I just wanted to tell everyone thanks! I'm "off" for about 2-1/2 months every winter for what we call on the Great Lakes, "lay-up". In that time so much has happened for me and my Baby. You guys/gals have been here all along, with your wisecracks and good advice, and I've had a really wonderful time!
It may sound kinda stupid, but I really feel like I belong to something special being a member of this forum. I really do mean that!
I'll be able to get online once a week or so cause I've got a used laptop and a wireless connection that works fairly well. So, I'll be able to keep an eye on ya's to see what kind of extraordinary stuff your all up to! But, I'm going to miss checking in on things whenever I get the urge!
Good luck to EVERYONE with their Vettes and mods. I sincerely hope that all turns out just like you want, even better!
Buying and modding my Corvette, and especially belonging to this Forum, has been a couple of the most fun, and most interesting things in my life! Thanks to ALL of YOU!!!
Now, spring "fit-out" is here. I've got to get my gear together, and get outta here! This is a Great Forum, and I'm sure you guys/gals will keep it great till I get back!

All the BEST to ALL of YOU,
Doug
Best of luck Doug and just make sure that wireless keeps you connected ...
Smooth sailing Doug and are you making any port calls in Cleveland?
I transfered this year to the M/V Walter J. McCarthy Jr. I think we might get a load or two into that Lakefront Ore Dock. It's operated by Olgebay Norton. My Company, American Steamship Company, and Olgebay Norton are thick as Thieves, no pun intended! If we do, I'll try to let you know before hand, and maybe you could stop down and have dinner! That would be great!
It's gonna be kinda quiet without LOUD SAM checking in daily . Keep warm and dry and be safe
Thanks! I got to tell ya, when I am able to get online, to save time, I copy threads of subjects that sound interesting on here, and copy them to my hard drive to read later! I still got a bunch on there from last year!
Have a safe trip doug and check in with us once in a while.
Thanks Charlene, I will check in, cause I'm addicted. Your all going to drive me into the "poorhouse" with all your "mod this" and "mod that" talk!!! One thing's for sure though; I'm going to get there REAL FAST!!!
Do you mind if I show my sig again? You don't? Thanks, I will then!

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
