I love my Weathershield. I have had it for over a year. My car stays covered daily in a carport and when at work. THe car is scratch free. I wash the cover about every 3 weeks in the home washer and it still looks brand new. Very expensive though but well worth it.
Some here will tell you that Brand A is best and others Brand B when in fact both brands may very well be made of the exact same fabric and sewn by the same manufacturer. Keep this in mind and you may save yourself some money and still get a very high quality cover.
Kimberly-Clark Corporation makes many of the fabrics that are used in today's car covers; i.e., the Block-It fabrics, Evolution, Dustop and Noah. Also, Nextec Applications, Inc. makes the Weathershield fabrics. Here are a few links that may help you in selecting a cover fabric that is right for you and your type use:
CoverCraft is the world's largest manufacturer of custom car covers and IMO, they make excellent covers. In addition to the CoverCraft brand, they also manufacture covers for a number of other companies who in turn sell these covers under their own brand label. A number of the Forum vendors here sell the CoverCraft Brand or covers made by CoverCraft. Here are a few CoverCraft links you might like to check out:
My Weathershield cover is over six years old. It's still in great condition. The previous cover was a Noah, it didn't last two years before it was comming apart. My cover is only used out doors.
For strictly indoor use and noting you have a convertible, I would go with one of the lightweight "silver" parachute material covers. I have one that I bought on eBay for $99.95 and it works great. What you have to be careful about with a convertible is any flannel-lined cover will really mess up your top, leaving fuzzies all over it that you'll need a vacuum to remove.

I also have the weathershield. The big advantage to this cover besides the build quality is the fact that you can wash it in your washing machine!
I have the Stormshield car cover in the Red and Black colors. My car spends time outside in the driveway and this cover keeps most of the water and dirt off of the car. It seems to be a very good cover. My only concern is that it does stand out like a sore thumb and scream "look at me, I am a Corvette under a cover". It stands out so much my neighbor called me up and asked me if he could borrow it to go parachuting. Another good cover that does not stand out so much is made by Wolf in the Noah material, this is the material that is one better then the Evolution 4 material and comes in grey. Here is one thread about car covers posted earlier http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1033269
I believe one of the Forum memebers has a Storm Shield cover for sale on that post.
I had a Wolf for my 92 coupe and was real happy with it. I bought a Wall for the C5 and it seems to have a plastic feel to it. I would spend the extra money for a Wolf.
Weathershield here as well. Awesome cover. Mine's over 3 years old and in excellent condition. Rolls up small and is washable in a home washer. Very durable material that will not scratch the delicate C5 finish. Fit is excellent. This is by far the best cover I've ever used.
