hood liner

Hi guys, has anyone put edging around their liner to keep it from separating and getting funky looking? Someone suggested to me to sew a vinyl or leather strip all the way around the liner; maybe an upholstery place could do iit. What do you think?

New liner only costs about $80 I think.

I have done that many times but this last liner got so bad that I would have to glue all the way around and that wouldn't look too good. The liners are very cheap and don't hold up very long. I did buy a new one from our clubs sponsor chev. dealer for $81 discounted and a local guy is going to air brush it. I hope he uses the correct paint to withstand the engine heat.
