No answer, but I'd like to know as well. I'm sure it does?

Yes... as soon as my engine blows, a stroked 402 LS2 is going in.

The only issue is making the map sensor work with the existing computer, but that may have been resolved already.

Edit... I meant knock sensor, not map sensor

FredBeans has the complete LS2 engine listed at just under $5300 new.

What's the chance of finding a totaled C6 with an intact engine bay?

www.sdpc2000.com is selling forged stroked short blocks for $3900. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=243997

It'll still need heads, manifold, injectors, TB, etc..., so it's probably not going to be cheaper than the crate engine, but it's a hell of a deal, especially if you can find a good set of used heads.

Why does everyone want an LS2? and not looking at the LS6 with 405Hp.

Best part is, it's a simple drop-in without major modifications to your computer and god knows what else

If I was replacing my motor, I'd be looking for a Z06 engine all day.

doesnt the ls2 pull harder off idle or something? i remember hearing that the power curves were pretty different for these engines. and supposedly the LS2 made more useable power. but i could be wrong

5 Horsepower is your reason why the LS6 is better?

No, the biggest reason is that the LS6 is a simple plug and play sort of engine, another words not much to modify if anything.

Not true with the LS2, granted the larger CC are always a welcome and we may not know the true potential of the LS2 at this time. But I assure you that the LS6 would be quite a bit cheaper to install without major modifications to your electrical system, chassis, and major computer..

So know tell me why I want a LS2 again?

I don't mean this to come off as a pissing contest, I'm all for the bigger the better attitude, but I just don't think it would be any where as cost effective has a LS6 with the same results.

Then again if I'm wrong about the install of the LS2.
Lets just wait for the LS7=500Hp

The LS2 is at the base and has more potential than the already upgraded LS6.
