new guy
To start of it's an '01 Coupe Black with Oak interior. the only mod so far is the Corsa exhaust (by kinney's mufflers...they didn't pay me but they should). It had 15K miles when I got it and just turned 21K. It's not a daily driver but with the good weather we've been having here in DFW it's hard not to drive it.
The mods I'm looking to do are lowering, getting rid of the run-craps(michelin or bridgestone), Z06 chrome wheels, new rear-end (it has the 2.73..which i can't believe someone would want to keep) and the usual engine refinements (intake, headers, mainfold, etc...) I live in the North Ft. Worth area and I'm looking for a place to have the wheels and tires put on, have it lowered and put the new rear-end in. Does anyone have any suggestions.

My route on mods is:
1. Gears
2. Intake
3. Heads/Cam
4. Blower
Of course, there will be hundreds and hundreds you will spend on knick knacks along the way. Good luck!

Congratulations on the new ride. I can't help with installers in your area but there are a lot of members from the area that I'm sure will chime in.Paul

By the list of mods you want done, it shows you've done your homework!
Now where to get them done.
I have had new heads, cam, headers and clutch installed and it was all
done by LGMotorsports. I have been nothing but pleased with their work.
Lou tuned the car after his guys installed the cam. They would also be a
great place to get a new gear box installed!
Lowering the car is really not difficult to do. I did mine when I switched
out to my CCWs. If you have any inclination of doing any of the DitY mods
this is one of them. Heres links to pictures, compliments of one of our
vette gurus - Patches. This give you a good idea of what is done to
lower your vette using the stock bolts. In the first picture there is a
bottle jack Ed uses, its there simply to lift up on the front wheel making
it easier to backout the front bolts;

Good luck with the mods. This is a great place for tips and help!
