Default I feel so dirty!!!

Yesterday it was 75 degrees in Northern VA so I thought I'd drive my vert to work. I notice a few vettes - got waves from about half - and other verts with the top down.

Well, there I was driving down the road minding my own business when from across the intersection I noticed someone waving at me. IT WAS A RUSTANG with the top down!!!!!

I felt so dirty I immediately went home and washed the vette and took a shower. DISGUSTING!!!

What is the point of this post? Maybe the guy liked your car and was jealous. You need to lose the elitist attitude that that forces you to judge somebody by the car they drive.

By the way, I think the the new Mustangs look hot......but I'll keep my Vette!

I agree the new stangs rule. I have two buddies with them already. I'll definitely be buying one later on down the line when they are cheaper (used). You need to go drive one if you haven't already. They really did some nice changes to the chassis. It is a much better ride now than before. Not to mention the fact that they upgraded to 31 spline axles, aluminium driveshaft, Tremec Tranny (handling 400 ft lbs or tourqe), and a 3:55 gear from the factory. I love Ford, you just can't beat a Stang for the price. There is a reason Mustang used to outsell Corvette, Comareo, and Firebirds combined. I don't know of to many other cars that can handle 150 of nitrous with over 200k on them.

My block on my '91 has 144k and I spray 150 on it and launch it at the track at 5000 rpm on full slicks (on the gas) with the stock 26 spline, 144k, 14 year old axles and run an impressive 11.02 at 124 mph. This is with my old clutch too. I just took the old clutch out yesterday and had the flywheel resurfaced yesterday. Will be putting the new clutch in today. 10's will be no problem. Now I love Vette's but I'd love to see a Vette do that. hehe Just kidding but seriously.

Considering that the Ford Shelby comes out later this year w/450hp and 400lbft torque, Mustang deserves a little more respect against a bone stock C5.

my stock 92lx vert went 13.52@100 . my c5 went 13.1@108. Im a good driver, joe schomoe in the c5 would be neck and neck w/ me at the track stock vs. stock.

Get over youself its just a car, because he doesnt spend the money on one doesnt mean he couldnt or wants to blow 50k on something that has no return on investment.
