If I did anything to the car it would be to paint the calipers. The stock silver is faded and looks dirty so I'd go with red only because I think it looks hot on most C5's especially electron blue ones.
You got the color I wanted, I had to settle for black, I'm happy though, and yes red brakes with that blue would be perfect.
Don't waste $400 buying them though, just go to OReiley's and spend $15 for a brake paint kit and do it yourself. Just a nice Sat. and some jack stands.....
Check out my vette pics under my sig.

Yup thats something I need to do the red stands out and looks great on your car.
I have thus far added only the PIAA driving light MOD to my '03 Z that I've owned since October. I'll probably leave it this way for a while - until the warranty is expired - then watch out!

Thanks, the red brakes are perfect for our color cars.
Be careful though, it always starts with some little simple change (like red brakes) then next thing you know, you lowering it, then exhaust, interior, heads and cam and then a supercharger.....etc........
After I did mine, I came this close to lowering it, since it was already up.....but just couldn't do it. It just looks too good how it is.
Before I begin let me just say that I have always modied most of my cars but when it comes to the Vette for some reason I feel differently.
Am I the only one on this forum that likes his car plain stock? I know there are a lot of cars out there some with fewer mods then others; some highly modied C5 look beautiful, lowered with nice wheels, decked out engine compartments etc. yet when I look at those cars and then look at my stock 02 coupe, I realize I just love it the way it is. I mean I just love the way the car looks and performs out of the factory, the stock stance without lowering, the stock wheels & tires, exhaust note, quite yet throaty when you get on it and its stock performance without even a simple mods like a CAI.
Heck, I don’t even like the look of an exhaust plate, just love the way the flat-black exhaust panel looks with the two oval pipes on ether side. Is this wrong, Am I alone here.
I like mine plain stock all the way, with the exception of the SS letters on the back bumper and the chrome exhaust plate and tips. I guess I am old fashioned, but I too like em plain.
My 2002 triple black vert is 99.999999 stock. Added an antenna bypass switch inside the center console next to the cigerette lighter socket. Wouldn't think of changing the looks of my black beauty.
The car is great but can be made sooooooooo much better. If you are only going to mod a little:
1. Get rid of that tall stick coming out of the center console. Now with a C6 shifter you can keep it quite and still enjoy a smoth, shorter and easy shift with great feel.
2. Dump the EMT's and put some serious rubber on that makes the car smoother, better handling (no more bump steer) and no tire roar.
3. Add more Hp with at least a cold air intake with less restrictions.
4. Get a real exhaust or at least some good tips.
This is the least you can do that makes a HUGE differance in the car.

I've modded mine almost once a week since I bought it. I keep putting in a different tank of gas every time. And oh if you think that is excessive I have changed the oil also. lol Mine is stock and I do love it. I keep threatening to put new wheels and tires C6 sizes but for now its just gas and oil. You know what....I still love my car.
i thought id leave mine stock....until i started seeing soo many C5's around...didn't like the C6...especially not the coupe (verts aren't available here in canada yet) so i decided to start modding the C5 just to give it that personal look...not the same as any other vert around town now and im just getting started with the mods
I'm in agreement with you. Both of my Vette's have been relatively stock with the exception of a couple of minor mods under the hood. I did add a set of Tiger Sharks this week to my 04 coupe. I just thought that the stock exhaust pipes left the exhaust port looking "vacant" so I filled it in with the Sharks....but overall my car will remain stock
Nothing wrong with stock, nothing wrong with mods. This is the real beauty of these cars. They are just great cars either way. I have a few (very few in comparison to most) mods on my car. I went with exhaust, intake and a few appearance mods to make the car my own. It's your car, make it the car you want either way.
Not a thing wrong with wanting to keep it stock - and if that's how you like it (you are the one paying for it) that's how it should be. I often thought the same thing, but sooner or later the mod bug bites and the rest is well, you know, history
