I have several Battery Minders and would highly recommend
one to anybody. On the other hand you can't go wrong with
a Battery tender plus either. You can leave either of these
on your battery and forget them. They will take good care of
and not damage your battery.
Shylor, how often do you drive the car? In the dead of winter, even in an unheated garage, sometimes my 2002 doesn't get started for two or three weeks, but it fires up. Original battery, 10,000 miles. I wonder if you have an unusual drain in the electrical system?
I know everyone speaks highly of the Battery Tender Plus but, I have been reading some good things about the Battery MINDer. Any thoughts?
What's the difference between the two? Same concept just different companies? I would think these should all perform comparably, assuming they're not junk....
My 03 doesn't even have 2,000 miles on it, so that should tell you something as to why it went dead. Basically I didn't charge the battery up enough the last time it went dead on me. I know, I know, I should get out and drive it more. But it just looks so nice and new sitting in the garage.
I heard the Battery MINDer actually has a no hassle warranty, while the Battery Tender charges $15.95 if you don't have an original receipt.

I've had this one for several years and it works just great.
You can also get a battery tender at Sears stores for about 30 bucks. If it doesn't do what you want it to, you can always return to Sears. I'm happy with mine.
My dang battery went dead today.....yes again. I need to bring it to a full charge this time. Any problems charging the battery while in remains connected in and to the car? I don't think there would be but with all the electrical components, I thought I'd ask.
Oh and my local Sears doesn't sell the Battery Tender.
