I'm trying to get some light pewter metallic paint (one step) to paint fuel rail covers etc and match my '99. The code is 11U, but the shop needs the WA number. Where can I get the correct number?
GM sells small spray cans of it, besides the typical touch-up paint. They'll probably have to order it, though. I've used quite a bit of it. Some matches superbly, some less so, however.
I've found the same result with paintshop-mixed paint for the pewter, as well. Metallics can always be a problem and even if the mix is perfect, spraying conditions can affect the results based on the aluninum flakes laying differently from one time to the next.
Keith: Right on. They have a specific part number for it. All pewter should be the same. I can check on a can and post tonight after I get home if you wish.
