[Z06] Noises ????
I also get a clicking sound from time to time, again when going slow, this comes when I give it gas and then let up on the pedal.
Just thought I would ask around to see if any one of you would know something.
You know what happens when you go to the dealer, they always tell you that's the way it is supposed to sound, etc....

Also, try to isolate the location of the noises, front? rear? console area?
Note that Z06's have very minimal sound insulation (in order to keep weight down), so you hear pretty much every noise that every system makes. That's OK as far as I am concerned, but it does annoy some folks.
- "marbles in a can" noise when shutting off car (can be avoided by pushing in the clutch during shut-off)
- "ticking" or "tapping" from lifters
- "whistle" from lifters/intake
- "exhaust jingle" (from exhaust hanger springs clanking against exhaust -- can be fixed with TSB)
If it's one of these sounds, then you're not alone. Many people experience these noises. So, yes, they're "common," but I don't like the dealers' word "normal." "Normal" suggests that they're ok -- but the noises really bother some folks. I, along with many others, have simply chalked these noises (with the exception of the exhaust jingle) up to the nature of the beast, as these cars are more like race cars than cruising sedans.

- "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH" from passenger side when shifting into 2nd and 3rd
