I know we have had a lot of talk about lowered cars. But I need some help. The other day my CCW's 505a's come in. Also I got the brake kit from Daemon Motorsport/ Stop Tech. I installed the brake kit with no problems. I cut the bushings in the rear and turn the bolts in the front to lower the car. This is where my problem begins. The tires on the CCW"s are 305-30-19 rear 275-30-19 front. After I put her on the ground, the left side front and rear is to high. After putting in two bushings back in the rear and adjusting the bolts 4 or 5 times. I get the rear to 27 and half inches off the ground from the fender well. My problem is the front is to high. With the bolts all the way in. The L/F is 27 1/2 inches and the R/F is 27 11/16 inches. When I adjust the L/F to raise it the same height to the R/F they are both moving up. The right very little. Right now I turned the L/F 2 1/2 turns clockwise to bring it up. L/F is now 27 1/2 inches and R/F is 27 3/4 inches. If I turn the L/F up I will be above 28 inches. How many of have you cut the front bushings. I couldn't find any instuctions on this. Sorry this is so long. I would be gratefull for any help.
Holy Tortillas. Man, that's why I have not screwed around with the height of my car. I don't care if it looks like a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Good luck with that.
Don't sweat it. Like the others said drive it and let it settle. For all you "stock height car" guys/gals they are not perfect from the factory either.
Yep! Let it settle. I was scared to death after "lowering" mine. It looked like a 4x4 but everyone told me to go drive it around for a half hour (luckily it was dark). When I came back, it looked great. After a week or so, it got even better.
Just make sure that you've turned all the bolts the same amount, regardless of how it looks after being up in the air. When it settles, you should be pretty close.
I drove mine 2 or 3 days before making final adjustment. I only ended up adjusting the rear. I have 1 thread showing on one side and 3 threads on the other.
