Ok here goes....my car is a 99 a4 coupe with 2.73 gears the automatic has left a little to be desired. I've had this vette for a couple of weeks and the mods bug is starting to have its way with me!!!!I would like some advice on these mods
3.42
yank 3200
loudmouth exhaust or borla stingers(really looking for 4 tips)
zip tie mod k&n
predator or vettedoctor tune
160 stat
I hear a lot about loose converters... will i have that feeling with this setup.I only race the car once or twice a month is the conveter stall to high.Any estimates on 1/4 times with this setup. Also any advice on what i should do next. As for tires i have michelin pilots not sure the will hold but they are new..
Of the mods you list the converter and gears will give you 95% of your gain in ET. I would say you will run 12.80 with those mods. Skip the zip tie and slap a vararam on with some long tube headers and you will be in the low end of the 12s. That is of course if you have the tires to put the power to the track.

With 3.15s, vararam, borla quad stingers, and x-pipe I hit 12.845 with Traction Control on. I would start with those mods first and some LTs wouldn't hurt, to get it breathing, then do the gears and stall.

It is had to describe how loose the 3200 converter will be unless you drive a car that has a high stall in it. I went with a Vigilante 2800 and noticed a decent change in how "loose" it felt. If you can find someone in your area and go for a drive is the best bet. What I think is too loose another person would'nt even notice.... Good luck!
