Default (Poll) What Display Do You Use?

There are many different functions on the DIC. What function do you monitor most often while driving. Feel free to tell why.

Oil temp because it is the only available engine function not otherwise displayed.

Well lets see here.

I use the oil temp until the car reaches over 150. So I know it is real safe to get on the gas.

Then I switch to the tire pressure to see if they are all 33-35psi.

Then I just switch it to the odometer.

The majority of the time it just stays on the odometer. I occasionally on long trips will switch it to show average MPG.

When I first start it, I watch the oil and water temp rise a little. When driving i have it on instant gas mileage to try and learn the best time to shift as I learn to drive a manual tranny!

I voted "nothing" -- which is most of the time.

But, it depends what I'm interested in or trying to find out.

What I would rather have displayed is the "Corvette By Chevrolet". Wish they made that one of the options.

At the moment it's on Coolant temp most of the time. i just installed the front Z06 screens and drilled holes in the fog surrounds, so I'm trying to figure out if the engine is running any cooler.

Mine stays blank. That way, I will be likely to see any warnings if they appear.

Oil temp until I know it's good and warmed up. Then I'll check the tire pressure's after I've been driving awhile. Then most of the time just put it back on oil temp unless I'm just checking everything else out.

btw, warnings will over-ride any other displays; hence, one doesn't have to wait for them.

Nothing most of the time; when I want to check the display, I scroll through all the options and then return it to the blank screen.

'says that on the passenger airbag...the CORVETTE part. That is to remind you in case you can't remember.

I leave mine on trans temp. As I feel thats the one most in danger of high heat. The rest I check on the gauges or cycle through them from time to time.
