I got to thinking about it yesterday when my right door lost power and locks and windows wouldn't work electrically. Then I remembered that C6's have electric door openers, and I thought what if that RDCM f***ed up on it and made the rest of the car freak out like mine and the other door wouldn't open either. Now I'm not some grungy wanna be C6 owner trying to find existentials though a haze of bong smoke, I just don't want to have to pull out a 9 and shoot my way out of a C6 when I buy one.
Took a friend to Eckler's Springfest Saturday and he got stuck in two C6's. One was a Vert and one was a coupe that had the targa top off. Don't really know how they got him out but just heard he was stuck in there and sure enough, I glanced in the direction of the coupe (his second misfortune) and his head was above the windshield as he was looking around. He is 6' 5". Someone blamed it on his height but I forgot to ask how he got out since I wasn't paying attention.

GM would have blamed it on his height Man, getting locked inside your own car? I sure give GM credit for coming up with some creative gremlins
I know what you mean......we don't need electric doors. Save the Wave.>George
There is a small button towards the bottom of the door and mechanically unlatches the door. There is exactly as much chance of getting inside a c6 as there is any other car.
GM makes some pretty questionable decisions... but they arent stupid.
And if power is lost you can still get IN the car by using the little keyhole that is hidden under the horizontal surface just above the rear license plate.
I have shown that feature to several salesmen.
How do you feel about being in a locked C6 thread in C5 General?

Man, you don't have much confidence in Yankee Ingenuity, do you? The engineers thought of that scenario. There is a lever next to the door sills on each door. Flip the levers and open the door.
