Rusty Rotors?

Default Rusty Rotors?
Does anyone know what to do about rusty rotors where the pads don't rub, other than buying painted ones?

If you dont want the rust on the rotors, buy a set of zinc coated ones. The stock rotors are not zinc coated and will rust as soon as water hits them. Sportbrakes.com is a popular and economical choice for rotors. $250 shipped for a set of 4 is a good price. I have the baers which I purchased for 500 bucks.

Sure.

Get some steel wool, take the rust off, then paint them with high-temp paint, either clear or colored.

These are painted gray.

I went the painted route after my new rotors got nasty looking. I've only got the backs done right now, but hope to do the fronts soon.

I agree - some steel wool to clean the rust off and then some high temp paint should do the trick.
