I'd look for one at a junk yard even if its not the same color it should only cost you a few bucks to have it painted.

I would not doubt that the part costs that much. Try Gene at the Karshop or Bob at Fichtner Chevrolet. Bet they can give you a better price.

$200 for paint sounds a little high. Like said above, I would look for a used one.

Give this guy a call. I copied his name from another thread. I think he charges about $60 to fix a mirror with your problem. It has something to do with a clip falling off I think.

Why do you sound surprised that dealership service is expensive? Fix it yourself. I believe someone on the forum did and stated it wasn't that hard.

Fred Bean will sell you a replacement mirror for about $80, and i had mine re-painted for $50...
