I'd look for one at a junk yard even if its not the same color it should only cost you a few bucks to have it painted.

Passenger Side Mirror $400 to replace????
The dealer just quoted me $400 to fix my Passenger side mirror!!! 
Just pulled the car out of the garage for the 1st time since last fall, and the mirror just flops back and forth?? Noone could have hit it because it was the side against the other vette I was storing!!! Is this price accurate??? He said Approx. $200 for the mirror and about another $200 for the paint and clear coat.

I would not doubt that the part costs that much. Try Gene at the Karshop or Bob at Fichtner Chevrolet. Bet they can give you a better price.

Give this guy a call. I copied his name from another thread. I think he charges about $60 to fix a mirror with your problem. It has something to do with a clip falling off I think.

Why do you sound surprised that dealership service is expensive? Fix it yourself. I believe someone on the forum did and stated it wasn't that hard.
