Hey guys, I've taped off and painted the rotor hats on my buddies sportbrakes rotors with a high heat flat black paint. He's thinking that he might want them glossy so I went to try to find some high heat clear paint but no luck. Can I use the regular clear coat (good up to 200 degrees) on the hats or must it be high temp paint? Thanks again!

You know, I painted my rotor hats with regualr car paint from wal-mart. They've never looked better. I clear coated them with the same brand clear coat and vuala, still new lookin'. I guess the high heat thing will catch up with me, but it's all good from over here.
Were the SportBrakes rotors rusting? They are zinc plated, right?
I was considering getting a set of these soon but if they are going to rust then I may change my mind. Thanks
any rotor you buy will eventually rust, I've got a set of zinc coated rotors with rust all in the cooling vains right now and they are less than a year old (although i am a little hard on them)
all you can do is paint them or keep cleaning the rust off.
