Additional weight will be a disadvantage to some. A less noisy ride won't matter to some. I feel differently. I do not race the car and therefore feel that an additional 20-30 pounds is a small price to pay for an enjoyable ride. The sound-deadening project will be completed today. The EMTs are being replaced on Tuesday. If these two changes don't improve the noise and ride, I will sell the car. The roads around here getting so bad that I no longer enjoy driving the car. I hope all this time and expense is worth it.
The roads in San Diego???? Where in S.D. do you live??? TJ
I love driving my car around here. I think you may need a SUV.
Try driving the coast from Solana beach north to Encinitas and Leucadia and El Camino Real north or south from Palomar Airport Road to Encinitas and many more too numerous to mention. In the past I drove Mira Mesa Blvd The fact is that the roads are still trashed from the rains and every smooth road will be torn up for some project or another. The powers in control dug dozens of trenches across the flow of traffic a foot wide and filled them with dirt. Even an SUV would buck going over them. BTW I do have an SUV.

I live & work in North County.... drive those roads nearly every day. The thought of selling my Vette because of those roads has never and would never occur to me. Yep, they need repair because of the storms of this year. But.......... WTF.... never mind...you need to sell your Vette & drive your SUV.

You think your roads are bad you should come drive in Michigan with our monster pot holes and never ending orange barrels all summer long. This happens every year from the winters destroying our roads. It's a good thing my C5 has such responsive steering for dodging the pot holes.
Just some extra weight, I think I added about 20 pounds of the stuff to my Z. If it hurt performance I can't tell. If I did back to back tests on a track I may see some slight difference, but even at that any difference could be cause by driver inconsistencies. So my choice was clear, make the car more enjoyable as a daily driver. 20 pounds of DynaMat did that.
