Default License Plate Problems...

I just got a rear plate frame for my 2001 (from AutoArt). I'm having trouble installing it because of the horizontal grooves (on the car) intended to hold the bottom edge of the plate.

Anyone else with this problem?

I also need some new screws to hold the plate on. The ones that came with the car are rusty and don't really screw in easily! Does anyone know the size of the screws to get. I figure Lowes will have them cheaper than GM.

thanks in advance

Those are just standard GM license plate screws. You can buy them at any auto parts store. Becareful not to buy the Ford or import screws, they won't fit and your car won't like it. The license plate frame mounts above the horizontal grooves.

You might consider some screw caps from Midamerica to hide those ugly screws. They look good and even have the C5 emblem on them.
