Default Miss my.....

C5 terribly. I got rid of it a year ago this month. I got out of it to save a little and have a more practical daily driver. Looking back, had I been smart, I would have gotten a old full size single cab truck as a cheap daily driver and have the vette for fun driving only. She was a 2000 pewter FRC with Borla exhaust and a few minor mods. Why oh why, what do I do now......It will be a while, but I'll be back. The bug has a hold of me. Sorry for the sad story!!! I envy you all

Yup, don't worry, there's lots of C5's out there. Another one will come your way my friend.

When you get your next one, do what I did and spend a bunch of money on mods then you can not afford to sell it.

Good Luck

You had to do what was right for you at the time. Someday I'd bet you will find a way to get back into a Vette. Meanwhile keep your chin up and stick around here on the forum.

I feel your pain. About 5 years ago, I sold my C4 in a semi-fit of anger at all the things that were supposedly wrong with her (the prodding of my wife, not a Corvette lover, added fuel to the fire ). Much later, I found out that all the things wrong were actually expected items (such as Optispark, water pump and so on). I noticed that I started missing my Vette after about a month, but didn't really know if I'd get another one figuring "ok, you had your fun with the Corvette, time to move on."

Over the last few years it just wasn't feasible for me to own a Vette for various reasons (financial and otherwise).

Fast forward to today. I have been biding my time and will now, within 30 days, have a C5 in my garage (just waiting on an insurance check). My wife has now ridden in a C5 and is ok with it (her main complaint was the difficulty getting in and out of the C4 and the noise level...guess I can't really blame her).

Time can be a wonderful thing, and it can work out a lot of problems. Be patient, because if you're a true Vette lover, you will find yourself back in one when the time is right.
