If I had only known!!
Back around 1980 a local guy was selling a 1961 Vette for $4,500. The removable top was stolen so he lowered the price to 4,000.
Wife refused to let me buy it at the time. You don't KNOW how many times I have regretted taking her "advise".

Yes, and $4500 might be a little more than it sold for when new (base price was $3934). Don't feel too bad, that situation would be about the same as someone today paying about $27k (new base price) for a 1986.
All things should be put in perspective.
Sounds a little pricey doesn't it?

Want to get sick? You should have bought Dell computer stock when it first went public. If you had, I imagine you could easily afford a full stable of Corvettes.

how about a 57 (that needed a paint job) sold for $375 back in 75...everything worked and it was complete, interior everything..
how do i know this???? because it was my dumb a@@ stepfather who sold it...major goof up!!!
