It took 19 hours. I was 80-85'ish the entire way. I hit traffic on I-81 North after entering VA. Other than that... the trip was great! The GPS (Garmin 2610) unit is telling me that my top speed was 123 MPH. I don't remember? At least that's what I'm claiming.
Thanks again to all the posts! It's beautiful outside! Get off the computer and go drive those Corvettes!!!
Hey Mitch,
Awesome Vette and story. Not to hijack your thread but can you tell me where I can get my hands on the poster you have is your garage. I gotta spot waiting for it.
Thanx.
Mitch, I did the same thing in March...2000 Torch/Oak 6 sp Vert. But I went to Cincannatti & it Rained most of the way back! I am Motivated for a garage Fix up...28 Ford Model A & C5....Now that's Odd!
Flew to Florida to pickup mine last December. At least I got to drive across the state with the top down. What a treat. Had to drive to home Haymarket, VA with the top up. Still a great trip. Maybe we'll hookup at the Skyline cruise.
Thank's for the kind words Mitch. The after seeing pics of your garage I am sure the vette is NOT home sick. I'm glad everything went well and my wife and daughter wanted to say .
I wish that everyone selling their vette could do business with someone like you. It was a pleasure.
