I thought I was getting a new painted liner from a co-workers husband but it didn't work out. He does air brushing but he did not do good on a practice liner, so I cancelled the job. I think you have to hand brush these liners, is that right? Anyway, is there anyone local in Baltimore that can paint liners? Paula does a great job but waaaay tooo expensive. I paided $250 two years ago but I'm not willing to pay $450. Help!
There is a CF member that hand painted his liner with paint markers. It came out really well and I beleive it was posted only a couple of weeks ago. It looks really easy and I think I will do it myself after my TDY. Good luck.
Although no one can compete with the "buddy system" (having a firend or relative do it)....if you shop professional airbrush artists for the same amount of detail work and effort Paula puts into her liners, you'll quickly find how incredibly reasonable her prices are.
If you only want the logo done, get some paint pens and do it.
If you want a full custom liner with lots of airbrushed graphics, I guarantee you will not get better results at a better price shopping retail artists locally than what Paula offers.

That could be me.. It was very easy. I used flat black spray paint and painted the whole thing 3 times...It took one can. Went to the hobby store and bought Testors colored paint markers to do the logo.
4 vodka 7's and 2 hours later........You be the judge.

when you say the whole thing u mean the whole liner?
I love my liner from Paula. Expensive???? Maybe. BUT like someone else said "you get what you pay for". I would use Paula again in a second no questions asked. I wish I had 1/2 the talent Paula has.

I judge that to be awesome. Do you think there is a color close to mag red? Thanks
So, did you take the liner off the hood to do this? Do you have to get new clips to put it back in?How long ago did you do this? I'm a little concerned about how the painted "felt" will hold up over time. Any downside to what you did so far?
