A lot of the times the foam gasket that seals the box to the firewall deteriorates and will leak into the passenger compartment. Been there done that.

I see a lot of posts about the passenger side but my drivers side floorboard on my 2002 vet is soaked. It is a convertible and most of the water seems to be from the front of the seat to the back of the seat. any suggestions. Since water leak both windows wont roll down. Also service abs light was on before the leaks started. any suggestions?

The only way to get to the exact cause of the leak without guessing is to remove ALL the drivers side carpets,, wet the car down for 10-15min and observe the water trail.

Have you ever cleaned out the windshield cowl drain udders?? If not, the water can flood in from the wiring harness for the windshield wiper motor.

Make sure that you dry out the wet carpets before you reinstall them

Hi Bill..Back home. The battery posts were corroded inside the battery so we replaced them and the hose WAS clogged up not allowing the ac water to drain. There was a large puddle of water when we unclogged it. Cleaned all the contacts on the connectors that hook to the BCM as there were signs of water present. Put the dis-electric grease on the contacts and plugged it all back up...Car works perfectly.,.. Thank you for all your advise and patience. rick

Picture #1 is the drivers side, you can see them from the top, next to the brake booster. The one on the passenger side is very difficult to reach from the top, best to do it from beneath the car.

Well looks like I'm in the same boat.... It was only wet at the back under the passenger seat. So took out carpet and passenger seat until I can diagnose it further this weekend. Had a heck of a rain storm come through today. I can only assume at this point its the convertible top as the rear window was separating from the top. Think a little double back tape will suffice until I get a new top in a few weeks as its in dire need. I do believe its coming from the top seal on the passenger side as well......
