We had the same storm here in Ohio on the 7th. When I left for work at 7, it was 80 and sunny. Than right around 1:00 bam the hail starts with my baby out there with no cover. I sat there and looked at her in horror. But; and I can't believe this. No one dents, not one scratch, not even any marks I could see. This hail was the same size if not bigger than yours. I don't know how I lucked out but I did. My wife had our Lincoln LS up the road a bit from where I was and I didn't see any damage to it neither. It's odd though cause there were other cars in that same lot that had damage to their paint and cracked windshields.

By the way don't worry everything will come out looking better than new.

Hey Stu,

With posts like this, any of us married guys may not be allowed to hang out with you anymore But I do like the way you think. Since my car is in there, I am going to have a spot on my rocker panel fixed and my removable top redone. And of course it is time to get the lower rear facia blacked out

That stinks. On the up side, your paint will be better than factory orange peel.

Good luck

...btw I went by Tim's shop at noon...
I saw max's in the paint booth...Why on earth Max are you changing the color from green to blue???!!!! ..anyway they assured me they are taking care of your vette like it was theirs...

SpaceCoast...
...I saw yours too...thats a nasty scape over the front end...

They were putting it away as I left...

...btw before they put it away...I noticed the clutch was slipping as I pulled a speed shift between 2nd and 3rd...
Thats as much as I could tell because I had to slam on the brakes in order to stop before hitting the wall just past their garage door...

No problem though...they said the added damage on the front could be rolled into the insurance claim...
...and the tires werent that good anyway...

I may have saved you a few bucks...
...when they yanked the vette off of the trashcan...
...they snapped off the lower rear fascia part you were thinking of painting...

...I guess you really need to see Mike Norris about the clutch thing...

Sorry I didnt get the pics guys...
I thought my camera was with me but noooooooo...

Looking forward to pics on next run...
Maybe Max yours will be out of the paint booth so I can see if your clutch will slip

You think I can throw in a 427 in the insurance claim? I can say the hood was pressed so far down that it is shot and a new engine is needed. And of course that means new tranny, gears, etc.

...dunno...your engine was running a little hot...

...so I cooled it down immediately by turning the hose on it...

..should have seen the steam

If my car is blue, I will cry. I dont know what else to say.

If you wanna take my baby for a spin, thats cool. I'll have to take stuzvette out for a little ride. I cant promise you'll have rear tires when I get back though.
