Default Headers too loud?

I'm running stock manifolds, etc with Borla cat backs. I like the sound now, but wonder if LT headers, hi-flow cats, and x-pipe will significantly increase the exhaust sound levels. I'm sure it will sound sweet, but don't want to upset the neighbors you know. Anyone regret this mod?

forget the neighbors.

and yes .. it'll increase in volume.

just do it and if it's too loud you can always switch the cat-back .. maybe to a nice z06 exhaust.

Headers will increase volume for sure..and if you have a Borla cat-back now ( I'll assume you have the Stingers) this will reallly wake up your Borla's and the neighbors

but as Neablas said you can always switch the cat-back easily.

I have a set of Kooks LT headers, coupled to a Z06 exhaust and they sound awesome. At WOT, they are downright scary but at cruise and idle, they sound subdued, much louder than stock though.

Actually i was concerned about the same thing considering i work the night shift, but it actually is tame, it's only when you jump on it does it get louder,( the rice biurners in my neighborhood are louder )
you can hear the 'header sound' in the car a little, nothing obnoxious though, i actually wish it was a bit louder now, maybe im used to it.
all in all im very happy with it.

I was pretty shocked when I hearsd how loud my car was after the header/cat install. I have the Corsa Indy catback. One week later and I'm used to it. I can short shift to keep it quiet or let her rip. I love the sound.

Just keep it below around 1500rpm through your neighbourhood and you will be fine. With my Stingers, I crawl through my neighbourhood when I'm to and fro at night - 15 miles per hour. That will not distub your neighbors. Hitting 3000+ rpm with any exhaust above a Ti or stock will be heard - with or without headers.

Go slow and you could run straight pipes.

Loved the rumble of the Borla quad stingers! After I put on the Kooks, high flows & x-pipe they got real loud, bit too much resonance now. Gonna keep them a while til my neighbors give me the look, love the wide open roar though
