Push Rod length
I remember reading somewhere that the LS6 pushrod is different in length to the LS1. If this is true, what is the length that is being used with cam upgrades or is this an item that will need to be checked on the engine? I am looking at a 228/232 571/575 114lsa for my LS6 and will be running the 921 springs but am a little worried on push rod size. Any help on this matter with a similar "sized" cam is great.

The base circle is smaller on the LS6 2002+cam than it is on the 97-2001(-) LS6 and LS1 cams.
The factory made up the difference w/ longer valves, not pushrods..
That said, say you want to put in an 2002+ LS6 style cam in a motor w/ the shorter valves, you could correct the geometry w/ an 7.425" pushrod (stock is 7.400")
Some folks will say "it doesn't matter, the lifters will take up the slack", but that's not the factory's opinion. But hey, what do they know, they only designed and built the motor, right?
But given the fact that you have the 2002+ setup, as long as the base circle of your cam is similar to stock, you are o.k. geometry-wise, although the push rods are a "weak link" in these motors, and I'd replace them anyway.
