and stock airbridge does it make contact with hoodliner?
i see marks that haven't broken thru hoodliner and probably won't from the corvette emblem (just corners of it) on airbridge as it seems to sit a little higher than it did when original airbox was on.
i installed it last year when i got the car and tried everything i could to get airbridge to sit tight with rubber grommets but no luck.

Mine does, slightly I think they all do, but not enough to break through.
Me too!! Something is not adjusted just right. Make sure it is pushed down on the pegs.
As designed, there is no way in hell that thing will line up with the pegs on the radiator shroud. And mine HAS broken through the hoodliner.
What I did to cure the "problem" was to remove the two pegs that the air-box itself mounts on and allow it to "free-float". That way you can get it to drop down far enough to allow the intake tunnel to rest on the radiator shroud pegs like it's supposed to.
The blackwing housing is flat against the shroud underneath and it seems to hold the airbridge off the radiator a little higher than the stock air box.
I also installed a new airbridge and noticed it was higher so I reinstalled the stock unit and it was the same. Put the new airbridge back on.
It is probably touching the liner but not enough to cause any problems.

When I had my stock hood on the car and installed the Blackwing, I did not notice any rubbing against the hoodliner. Now that I have an MCM hood, I don't have to worry about the problem. Sometimes it takes a bit to get the airbridge to fully seat down on the pins.
I have a Blackwing and had the same problem. Rather than letting the blackwing "float" I took a dremel to the radiator-peg holes in the Blackwing and "oblonged" them such that they now resemble a vertical ellipse rather than a circle. Now the blackwing sits slightly lower and the airbridge is lower as well; allowing the airbridge to be snapped to the radiator shroud mounting points. This has also appeared to prevent the airbridge from rubbing on the hood liner....but now I need to replace the hood liner to finish it off. Thank God it never rubbed through the hood liner to the hood itself.

bingo...same here it seems backside top edge of blackwing causing it.
i do have airbridge sitting on pegs and rubber grommets over radiator they just don't hold it down tite enough.
just wondered if everyone has it and since it makes only very small marks on hood liner i'll live with it.

thanx all
Well, for awhile, that's all it was doing to my hood liner....just making a couple "small little marks".
But after goosing the LS1 innumerable times, causing the air bridge to move back and forth each time, after 7000 miles of this, it indeed rubbed two little holes in the liner.
Another possible "solution" would be to remove the "square corners" on the air bridge that actually contacts the hood-liner, by filling them down to where they are more "rounded". Who'd ever notice?

I have seen this on many Blackwing equipped C5's.
I correct the problem by trimming an 1/8 of an inch from the length of the coupler that sits between the airbridge and the throttle body. That allows the airbridge to sit flat on the radiator shroud.
I just did this for a buddy of mine.

Edit- those who use the stock "accordion" type coupler should not need to do any trimming, as is it much more flexible than the "smooth" aftermarket ones than need to be fitted.
