Didn't we just have one of these "poser" threads? 
Anyway, my view has never changed on this. Want to put an SS hood on your non-SS Camaro? No problem. Want to put a big-block hood on your small-block '66 Corvette? Have at it. Want to put Z06 wheels or whatever on your regular C5? Okey dokey.
I don't any problem with any of the above.
However..........putting SS badges on that same non-SS Camaro or putting "427" badges on that '66 Corvette when you know damn right well there's a 327 on the hood or putting Z06 badges on your C5, well........the "it's his car, his money, yada, yada, yada" arguments don't hold water because in the end, it's just plain dishonest. It makes the car a lie and its owner a liar.

I have VTEC badges on my Vette, does that make my car a Honda?
Really, what does it matter if someone puts a 10 foot wing on their Vette, other than bad taste? It's their car - why "confront them" as a poser - who cares - and to whom does that matter???

Not long ago, someone was selling a Z06 that had been converted to a convertible, by the dealership, prior to taking deliver of the car, and came with the full warranty according to the seller. The documentation says it's a Z06.
GM never made a 'vert Z06, but that's not to say it can't be done.
