For your problem, I recommend going to the dealer. Sounds like a defective knock sensor, but could be a bad PCM. Diagnosis for this is pretty extensive and to correctly diagnose you need a Tech 2 and a ohm meter.
As for the other guy...well look at his mods; those 42# injectors could cause the stock knock sensors to act up.
Sorry to hear you still have problems, Tom. These electrical problems can be real gremlins sometimes. My wifes '97 kept throwing an 02 sensor, TC and ABS codes, it ended up being a slight leak in the radiator, I guess it was throwing coolant on some electrical part and showing up as that code. I don't know what to tell you except to check for the simple stuff first, like a broken or burnt wire that's giving you a loss of comm.? Hopefully Bill Curlee can chime in on this one. Good luck

Update;
Vette tech Miles Dey of Farnsworth Chevy Cadillac looked at the car for about 2 1/2 hours. He was very professional. He seems pretty sure that the PCM needs replacement (car is 1 yr old so it's warranty) They ordered a new one along with the latest replacement parts for fixing the weeping diff. The car will go back in for a day when the parts come in.
