Default CCW Wheels part Deuce

Anyone with the 11.5" classics on the back of their Z06 have difficulty with brake fade due to having to remove the brake duct to the rear brakes? Anyone track their car without the rear brake ducts.....any fade from the rear brakes or noticeable change in braking consistenc?

The rear brake ducts are almost unsable anyway. the air must go directly on to the rotor or caliper to be usefull.

The front brakes do a majority of work and need teh DRM brake duct extension kit to get enough air on the caliper or rotor anyway. SO removing the rear ducts is not a problem.

What is the sidewall width of the tires you propose to run?

I have run CCW 17" x 12" with 315.35.17 (sidewall width of 12.4") without any fitment issues.

CCW is proposing that a 335/30/18 go on the 11.5 rims.

Do you really need that much tire? The 315.30.18 has no fitment issues and performs well. Is your set up severely traction-limited? Checked your signature and power-level is not listed.

The 335/30x18 on 11.5 rims is there 'big roller" package. This what I have for street use. and Love it. ppl comment on the tire size all the time.

I also have several sets of CCW classic track. 18x12 rears and 18x11 fronts .

Cant go wrong with CCW wheels

Understood. Always a trade-off.

Unless the car is way over 400 rwhp, the 315.30.18 will provide all the traction that's needed for street/drag strip use.

I'd suggest thinking twice about sacrificing the rear brake ducts on a Z06, a distinguishing feature of the car, for sake of .2 inches of tire width. But that just me....

It can still look like it's there It will not make much difference performance wise. I race and have my diff and tranny cooler mounted behind the vent opening.
