Default General Operating Temperatures

Just for peace of mind, what temperatures (oil and water) does your C5 typically run? My H20 stays at 189 at hwy. speeds and 220 when idling for more than 3-4 minutes. The oil temperature likes to climb above 220 and linger there.

I got mine dyno tuned and had them set the fans so they come on much sooner. So my water never goes above 194F no matter how long I'm stuck in traffic.

As a result, my oil temps rarely ever go above about 207F. Most of the time they are closer to 200.

I'm still running the stock thermostat by the way.

My coolant runs between 192-196 on the road, can push near 220 sitting still. OIl right around 200 when warmed up, 208 or so if sitting.

My coolant temp is normally around 195 or so and the oil gets to about 210.
