I finally registered and just wanted to say hi to everyone. I stumbled on this forum shortly after I got my 98 coupe A4 about a month ago and have been enjoying reading everyone's posts and learning about this great car called the Corvette.
My coupe is totally stock (for now). Got it from my father-in-law who bought it new and really took care of it. Has most of the options (but none performance-related unfortunately). Guess I have my work cut out for me. Thanks to this forum, I have a long list of mods in mind
I know what you mean JadeDragon. I wasn't planning to use mine as a daily driver but it keeps getting harder and harder to resist it's siren call... My wife says I should just sell my other car and be done with it. Who am I to argue?
Welcome, I'm a new member too. Mt first choice for a C5 was Nassau Blue. They are fairly rare and hard to find. I bought an Electron blue instead,2002. I love it. It's an auto coupe with every option including both tops and 6500 miles. got it in Dec. It's hard not to drive it all the time. I do ,however, have a nassau blue 87 coupe so I can get my fix for that color with it. Youwill find this site informative and friendly. I have gotten lots of good advice, info and made three purchases from members. One member actually gave me a complete 04 air box assembly. How great is that? Anyway, congrats on your new toy and welcome.
I forgot to mention the occasional humor you run across on the forum. Check out the post made yesterday at 1:37 pm under general discussion called Lyao. You have to download the site on the first post then look through all the photos and go back and read the replies.
Welcome to the forum. You're going to learn to love and hate this place. Every morning I log on and it costs me money. One mod and you are hooked - always looking for that next rush, that next fix. It seems so simple at first and the next thing you know you hear about someone giong over 400 RWHP and you wonder what that would be like and start making plans. Then it's 425, 450, 500. There is no end.
But then again, as I tell my wife, "there are many worse things I could be doing". Luckily she agrees and enjoys seeing me happy.
BTW, heads and cam setup in June. She's going to see me very happy.
