Default 3M Perfect-It Series

I have a 2001 mag red coupe and have used 3M Perfect-It Professional series swirl/scratch remover for dark colored cars and love the results. It removed alot of fine scratches that you can no longer see under floresent lighting. I used it with a porter cable random orbital buffer and the results were superb.

as long as you're keeping the buffer at a pretty slow speed, using polish (not compound) you're pretty safe. another thing is that you need to be carefull around edges, thats where you're gonna burn through if you were going to. its the heat and cut created when buffing that " burns " through. as long as you're being careful you should be safe. i like the black 3m pads that work with the hook/loop backing for polishing. i've never broke through buffing, use good judgement and you'll be alright
