C5 vs. Viper?

C5 vs. Viper?
I was driving to work this morning and had a new Viper pass by. This got me to wondering...If both cars are stock who has the best chance of winning either from a roll or a stop? I realize the Vipers have a HP advantage over a stock C5, but is it enough to overcome driver differences?

If you want to be equal, take it to a track with turns. I've seen few vipers be really fast because it's so difficult to put down that much power. The vipers that are fast (i.e. which guys who really know how to drive - better than I) are DAMN fast.

Saw a dealer Viper on its top in a ditch not to long ago East of Dayton on 275. Dealer and customer were OK, but roads were wet. Customer punched it and the rear end just went South on him.
A Torch Red stopped to assist them too.
Watched on in Gatlinburg TN not to long ago on the twisties and the guy apparently did not know what he was doing. Either pizz poor handling or pizz poor driver.

If it is a Gen III there really is no chance for a stock c5. I have both, mind you mine is not a gen III viper, but as far as i know the rear differential is still a 3.07. That means very little ****ting required. He could ease off of the start and still take you. From a roll, the viper obviously has a advantage as well considering stock he prolly has around 430 RWHP to your 300RWHP.

It's not even close, even if you have z06 badges, a gen 3 will tear the a$$ of a c5 with even moderate driving ability.

Humble pie doesn't taste so bad if being served by a Viper or Ferarri, but just don't let it get served by a built Rustang....
