Ok gotta blow off some steam here. Took my vet to work yesterday, raines on and off all day so car gets dirty

Get home from work and sun finally comes out and it is nice out, time to wash and polish. 1 1/2 hours later she's and I still got time for a quick little cruz.
Remove the top and I'm off, turn off my road onto a busy four lane, cruz along for about 1/2 mile and see something covering the road, upon getting closer the road is coverd in MUD of course comming from a plowed up corn field both lanes have stedy traffic flow so there is no stopping....50 mph splat splat splat for about 1/4 mile

So now I'm REALLY P.O.d why is it that they can do this and nobody else has a problem with it

That really sucks. You must have been so pissed. Aren't you glad we have so much fun cleaning our ride?

I like farmers. Everytime I eat, I thank the farmers who do the work I wouldn't want to do.

You bet the last thing on their minds is that your clean ride might get a little dirty from the mud off their tires. They just care about putting food on your table.

I know, I know. Easy for me to say living in an urban area. Oh well...

God bless the farmers. Its a PIA I understand, but I'll spend the extra time cleaning to ensure these guys get their job done.

This is the way it always happens - you get the car clean and either something like you mention happens or that happens to be the day they test the fire hydrants. Just look at it as more time to spend pampering your baby.

Just a tough break with bad timing. This must be a state highway or you would have a legitimate complaint. Most farm implements can't sustain the mandatory minimum speed on Interstate highways to travel on them.

Where I live there are a lot of roads dirty from excavation for new subdivisions going up everywhere. I know it is aggravating but farmers are

A little dirt on the road isn't near as bad as fresh droppings from the manure spreader. Those "deposits" sure get the interest of my dogs.

I just ran across a bunch of that on the way to work this morning. No way around it. They crossed the road and left a nice wet mess all the way across.

If both lanes are covered in mud, you must have been on pretty much of a "country" road. No ditches? You might just make a mental note of the experience and choose an upgraded road for your next cruise.

well i work in the ag industry and i am one of those guys who tracks mud on the road. most people who don't work in the ag industry realize what is involved in getting your food to the table. the 12-16 hour days seven days a week for months on end can be difficult to deal with, not mention the time away from your family. now i can sympathize with you because i am also a vett owner who has washed my car and then got caught in the same situation, but you have to understand sometimes it is impossible to avoid getting mud on the road. farmers in my area sometimes have a scrapper on hand to get rid of most of the mud, but it's impossible to totaly clean the highway. hope this helps a little to understand that we dont't do it on purpose, but it's just part of life!

It's the dump trucks on a clear day that get me, dropping who knows what on the roads.

My rant is being taken wrong, It really was not about farmers per say, as alot of things can mess up the roads.
I was just all because I just polished my baby, I grew up working on a farm so I understand but I was still at the time.

I sure how I didn't offend anyone,I was just blowing off steam

Growing up in Texas they used to pay me to wash my car. It was the only way to get it to rain.
