Default Added computer to garage

I installed a computer in the garage, I got the idea when working on the C3 last week changing the intake manifold and had to consult the forum on a couple things which meant going in the house to get the laptop a few times. I also wanted to listen to internet radio and have the option of playing MP3's, lucky for me my profession is computers so I grabbed one of the old ones laying around and set it up, installed wireless network card and I'm good to go. Here's a couple pics.

I'll carry the laptop down sometimes to consult the forum.

I use my laptop w/wireless internet connection in the garage on occasion. It would be nice to have one there at all times.

Love the idea, but lack the knowledge. I have the computer in the house with internet and would like to be able to link it to the one in the garage, which is a detached garage. Is there a way to go the wireless network thingie to the computer in the garage? I would not have the slightest idea what i would need to buy or how to do it.

Nice idea. I just bring my laptop out when I need the forum's guidance. I have a box or two lying around here. I'll have to look at the possibilities.

Very nice. I set my laptop up on a wireless network about a month ago. Nice to be able to move it around the house and stay on the Internet.

All things are possible with the right budget and no, this is not terribly expensive. Less than 500 for the parts plus the cost of an additional computer for the garage. That 500 might include the cost of the computer if you work all the angles. The big thing here is distance between where the two computers are going to be located. Also, once you go from one computer hooked to the Internet to multiple ones, security becomes an issue. Although it is not the prime driver of what you're trying to do. You just need to account for it in your plan.

Great idea. I take the laptop out there when required but it would be great to have something permanent.
