Decline Column Lock RECALL?
Now, I read here on the forum that GM will still do the column lock recall work on my car if I ever take it in for ANY other problem/work. So, my questions is: Can't I simply DECLINE the RECALL? The way I look at it I own the car. Why do I have to let them do work on it that I don't want done? Anybody got answers or ideas here?
BTW, even after getting re-imbursed for the CLB I am still getting recall notices from GM - the most recent came yesterday. Those guys must have great communication within their corporation
reminded me again about the recall. I told him I had no confidence in GM's fix
since I have an aftermarket fix. It actually says "customer declined" on the service ticket regarding column lock.
P.S. where did you get this form to get GM to re-imburse you????
I sure would like to get my money back for my aftermarket column lock bypass
IF they wanted documentation, then needed to send me $50 first and I would then send GM copies of the work order.
