Rusty Z06 rotors

Put some Z06 rotors on last month and have some rust around the wheel center where the calipers don't touch. Spoke to some local forum members and we're going to take the wheels off and paint the area of the rotor with high temp paint.

My question is, anyone know a way to clean off the rust in the meantime short of taking the wheels off (it's my daily driver). I was hoping there was some cleaner or spray someone could reccomend. Thanks.

Don't bother to clean them until you are ready to paint them.

they will just rust again, faster than you can cleen them.

Spray WD40 all over them...

I agree, dont bother until you are ready to paint.

I agree with what others have said...When i had my rotors off to paint them, it began raining and one of the rotors got rained on....there was surface rust on the rotor in less than 2 hours.
<but not where it was painted!>
